As one of only 70 certified specialists in the State of Arizona, and one of the 36 Fellows in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Keith Berkshire is well versed in all areas of family law, including appellate practice. Keith routinely teaches at legal education seminars on various family law issues including legal decision-making (custody) and appellate matters. He has handled divorce cases with estate values in excess of a hundred million of dollars, to cases where there was only debt to be divided; he has represented presidents of corporations and single parents with little income, as well as those in between. Keith attempts to mediate most matters so his clients have more control over their final outcome and do not spend unnecessary attorney's fees. But when an equitable settlement is not an option, Keith aggressively pursues his client's interests in court for trial or temporary issues like temporary child and spousal support, exclusive use of residences, and orders of protection. On the more complicated matters, Keith frequently utilizes experts for business valuations, legal decision-making (custody) evaluations, forensic accounting, tax implications, vocational assessments, real estate appraisals, and retirement account division. As juvenile law is many times implicated in the family law arena, Keith also represents parties in parental rights terminations, guardianships and dependency actions.

Keith has been lead attorney on over 200 family law trials and has argued successfully in front of the Court of Appeals on appeals related to child support, property distribution and spousal maintenance. Keith is known by his peers to be a knowledgeable and professional attorney, while zealously advocating for his clients. Keith has also been appointed as a Judge Pro Tem through the Maricopa County Superior Courts. Keith was recently selected by Super Lawyers for inclusion on the 2012 and 2013 Rising Star List and the Super Lawyers list for 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Keith was also listed by Super Lawyers as one of the Top 50 attorneys in Arizona, across all areas of law, not just family law.  Keith is also rated as a "Preeminent" attorney (AV - the highest rating) by the peer review process in Martindale-Hubbell®, the oldest and most widely known peer review attorney process in America.
